Special session on the EAST project

Together with the #CPOTE2020 conference organizers, we are pleased to invite you to a special session dedicated to our FIRST TEAM project “Easy-to-Assemble Stack Type (EAST): Development of solid oxide fuel cell stack for the innovation in the Polish energy sector.” The project was realized between 2017 and 2020 under the FIRST TEAM program by the Foundation for Polish Science and co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund.

The special session summarizes:

 – developing easy-to-seal and easy-to-assemble stack configuration

 – optimization design of electrodes microstructure

 – spatial optimization of catalyst distribution

 – development of additive manufacturing for electrodes fabrication

 – multiscale modeling of solid oxide fuel cells

More information about the session is available at the website: https://www.s-conferences.eu/cpote2020/special-session-east

The distinction of Ph.D. thesis

We are pleased to inform that Ph.D. thesis of our research scholar, dr Marcin Moździerz, was distinguished in a contest for the best thesis prepared with the use of computational power provided by Academic Computer Centre “Cyfronet.” Congratulations!

Second seminar on progress in the First-TEAM project

The second meeting on progress in the FIRST TEAM project entitled “Easy-to-Assemble Stack Type (EAST): Development of solid oxide fuel cell stack for the innovation in the Polish energy sector” was held on 13th of December 2019 in AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The open seminar that attracted our guest from Shibaura Institute of Technology, team members, students, and guests from both SIT and AGH. During the meeting team, menrers had an opportunity to present their progress and consult the results with the project partner. The plans for the future were also addressed. The photo relation from the event can be found in section Gallery of this webpage.

Team member awarded with an AGH’s diamond

We have an honour to inform that our team member, Mr. Tomasz Prokop, received an AGH’s diamond prize. Each year six authors of the best master theses are chosen, and awarded. Mr. Prokop, with his thesis “A numerical analysis of transport phenomena in micro-channels of a solid oxide fuel cell anode”, got the third place in the theoretical theses category. We heartily congratulate and wish further achievements.

Team member distinguished in the AGH’s Diamonds contest

We are pleased to inform that our team member, Mr. Pajak’s master thesis, was distinguished in the Diamonds of AGH contest, which is the best thesis competition. The contest is held since 1998 under the auspices of His Magnificence Rector of AGH University of Science and Technology. The thesis entitled “Design optimization of a Steam reforming Reactor Using an Evolutionary Algorithm ” received a desitingtion in the category of best theoretical works. Congratulations!

Master thesis distinguished

We are pleased to inform that our team member, Mr. Prokop’s master thesis, was distinguished in the AGH’s diamonds contest and at the same time was qualified for the finals. The contest results will be given in March, 2018. It is worth reminding, that his work was presented during the Scientific Circles Conference, receiving the first prize in the section of Energy Engineering and Heat Technology. Congratulations!
