Postdoc or Ph.D. student vacancy at the Department of Fundamental Research in Energy Engineering

Project title: Easy-to-Assemble Stack Type (EAST): Development of solid oxide fuel cell stack for the innovation in Polish energy sector

Research tasks:

  1. Design of a control system for a fuel cell stack
  2. Dynamic simulation of a fuel cell system
  3. Optimization of heat and mass transfer inside a fuel cell stack

Starting date: 1 January 2019

Period of employment: 1 year

Postdoc – one vacancy

Remuneration (brutto): 13 000 PLN
Remuneration (netto): 7 500 PLN

Additional requirements:

  1. Ph.D. in Energy Engineering, Physics, Material Science or similar with good degree;
  2. Predispositions to scientific work, candidates with experience in research projects and international internships are preferred;
  3. Good knowledge of English language, especially technical and scientific;
  4. Knowledge of solid oxide fuel cells;
  5. Knowledge of computers usage in numerical modeling of physical processes and optimization methods;
  6. Computer programming skills (C++ or MATLAB);
  7. Documented scientific achievements;
  8. Exemplary ethical practices. (see: Ethical Codex of AGH UST)

Ph.D. student – two vacancies

(only applicable if no Postdoc will be selected)

Remuneration (brutto): 6000 PLN
Remuneration (netto): 3 500 PLN

    from previous employer or doctoral dissertation/master thesis supervisor (if the former is not applicable). The applicant must send both electronic (7 separated files named as above) and hard copies of the documents;
